Current Information:SDGW-27/05/15 Born-Kensington Enlisted-London Lincoln (Newport) Cemetery, England Private Worley died of wounds on this day having been evacuated to the United Kingdom but we have no information as to when and where he was wounded. 2nd East Surrey were part of 85 Brigade, 28th Division which had arrived in France in January 1915. In April and May 1915 they were engaged in the desperate struggle in the north-east sector of the Ypres salient, which became known as Second Ypres. |
